Tip

Throwing and fetch toys are perfect for redirecting your furry friend’s natural hunting instinct toward the toy, helping you control it. Targeted fetch training also strengthens your bond. Why not try a snack dummy? The treats inside the pouch encourage your dog to pick it up. Once they bring it to you, a delicious reward awaits. If you prefer not to use food, you can use a toy with a squeaker instead. Simply experiment to see whether your pet is better motivated by food or a squeaky toy.

Important: You should only play tug and fetch games with your dog after they have finished teething, which is at the earliest from five to seven months of age. Otherwise, the forces involved could damage their teeth and gums.

Ideal for dogs with a stronger chewing instinct and vigorous play behavior are robust products such as ropes or tennis balls specifically designed for dogs that are gentle on teeth.

Dogs with an extremely strong chewing instinct and a rather rough play style need toys that can withstand a lot.
