The perfect dog bed for your favorite companion

Our dogs spend the night and a large part of the day in their bed – up to 17 hours daily. For them, it is not just a place to sleep, but also a retreat that gives them security and where they can recharge their batteries. Their own "nest" is of great importance for your dog's quality of life. That is why every dog needs their own sleeping place, and it has to be a good fit: your furry friend's size, age, and health must be taken into account when purchasing.

But it also needs to be a good fit for us humans. The dog's sleeping and resting area should also blend perfectly into your home decor and should therefore be chosen like a piece of furniture.

A dog bed for every stage of life

As a rule, you need at least three dog beds: for the puppy, the adult dog, and the senior. Because every stage of life has its own priorities. If a puppy is moving in soon, please do not buy a dog bed for an adult dog just because the little one "will grow into it." Otherwise, your furry friend will lack the cozy and security factor.

Size and shape

Determining the right size is actually quite easy: simply measure the total length of your dog when stretched out. Now add 20 to 30 centimeters of clearance, and you have the optimal diameter for the new dog bed. It should definitely not be any smaller: even dogs that prefer to curl up to sleep like to lie stretched out on their bed during deep sleep phases. Whether the bed is oval, rectangular, round, or square is up to you. The only important thing is that your companion still fits on the sleeping surface in any sleeping position.

The filling

A high-quality filling is extremely important so that your dog stays comfortable and cozy in the long term.

Fillings made of polyester or fleece are particularly common. In fact, they are very soft and comfortable and a good choice for small to medium-sized dogs. However, they are not suitable for large four-legged friends, as the material is quickly flattened under their weight and the cushioning function is lost.

When buying your dog bed, please ensure that a high-quality filling has been used. Often, "waste" from the bedding industry is processed, and you can find feathers and all sorts of other colorful materials inside.

We always recommend that our customers choose a dog bed with viscoelastic material, which adapts precisely to the body shape and thus relieves pressure on bones and joints.
