Our 5 biggest summer tips

1. Drink, drink, drink 💧 🚰
Always provide fresh, cool water. Dogs regulate their body temperature by panting, and to keep their mucous membranes moist and stay hydrated, they need plenty of fluids.
2. Adjust active times ⌛ 😴
Schedule walks for the early morning or late evening hours and avoid excessive exertion.
3. Be careful on asphalt 🥵 🌡️
Use the 7-second rule before walking on dark surfaces. To do this, place your flat hand on the ground. If you can hold it for 7 seconds, you can continue on the path.
4. Cool retreats 🧊 🏠 🌳
Older dogs, in particular, sometimes have trouble regulating their body temperature. A spot in the shade or on cool tiles helps.
5. Divide food portions 🍖 🍽️
Divide your daily ration into several small portions throughout the day. This greatly supports your digestive system in hot weather.
